South East Asia 2009 by David Sparshott

David Sparshott, illustrator and master of the pencil crayon, has sent over his map of a journey he took in 2009;

"Last year I went away travelling with my girlfriend. During this time I kept a diary and sketchbook. I had a huge amount of reference material to work from, a written diary, drawings, photographs, and videos. Taking the time to revisited this was really enjoyable experience and only helped to convince me to explore the possibility of going away for a few months again next year."

An awesome map David, thanks!
See David's portfolio at www.davidsparshott.com. It's full of great work, especially his really cool and recent football illustrations for the Times.

Great Britains by David Peter Kerr

Glasgow-based designer and illustrator David Kerr has sent over his map for the project which is based on a recurring nightmare of his...

"My nightmare is perhaps rooted in a deep seated fear of there being nothing other than Britain or perhaps some strange complex akin to that of Alexander of Macedonia who was once claimed to have wept whilst saying: "There are no more worlds to conquer!"

A great map, thanks very much Dave!

Wrong Side Up by Ryan Todd

The talented Ryan Todd has sent over a splendid map for the project. Here's what he has to say...

"My image maps an assembly of visual riddles. It's a place where things don't quite function as expected; a hamlet in a conjured world of inflatable concrete, broken rainbows and garden gnome soirées, thats where I belong."

Thanks Ryan, it looks great!
